If your child is performing as part of the Wider Opportunities programme you will be able to purchase tickets directly from your school.

Remaining tickets will be available to purchase on the door on the day of the concert.

Ensembles available for young persons curr ently learning a musical instrumen t 

About Us

Derby Music Centre aims to provide opportunities for young people to make music together, devel op their musical talents, and take part in public performances.

We welcome any young person who already plays an instrument to join one of our many orchestras, bands and groups.

Membership

• Membership is open to anyone aged 5-21 years

• Join at any time—just turn up on the day

• Two or more members from the same family pay a reduced cost

• Members are entitled to attend more than one group

  Fees from January 2009 are:

                                               £35.00 per member

                                               £60.00 per family

                                               £20.00 for Satellite groups (Wind Whizzers, Super Strings, Guitar Group)

 Bursaries are available to families in receipt of certain benefits - please contact us for details.

Concerts

Throughout the year, all members of the Music Centre have the opportunity to play in events and concerts. These range from small end of term concerts held at the Music Centre, to the Annual Gala Concert held at Derby Assembly Rooms with an audience of over 1000 people.
