Swine Flu - We currently have some pupils off school with suspected and diagnosed swine flu. Derby City Primary Care Trust and GP services are no longer testing for this virus. However, they are prescribing Tamiflu for patients who meet their criteria.

If your child exhibits the signs and symptoms of swine flu as listed in the NHS Direct website, please do not send them to school but contact your GP for advice.

In the event that swine flu is a possibility and or your child is prescribed Tamiflu please contact the school and leave a message on the illness mailbox stating clearly childs name, form and if they have been prescribed tamiflu. We would appreciate an update every three days.

This is important to enable us to maintain effective monitoring of the situation and to safeguard the health of the more vulnerable children in school.
